Position Sum m ary: Th i s position will work with families that are currently involved with Family Support Services. They will work to provide com m unity re so u r c es, a s si s t with m i ndshare ref e rrals for formal s ervice pr o v i sion. They will pr o v i d e ed u cation an d peer s u p p o rt that addr es s e s pr o p e r n u trition, hygi en e, discipline, p r o tection, ins t r u c tion a n d s up erv i s i o n, te a ch p a renting skill development, prov i de a ss i sta n ce in locati n g appro p riate communi t y r es ourc e s, ch i ld c are etc. This position should poss e ss skil l s and attitud e s toward chi l d reari n g that are flexible enough to adapt to various situations based u p on e ach fami l y ' s d ifferences, p roble m s, and nee d s. Th i s position will work a flexi b le s chedule in order to meet the ne e ds of families, which could include weekends and nights as needed. This position is part of a 4-year Federal grant funded position, running through 2028.
