Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Northport, AL
Pay: $20–$28/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing healthcare team in Northport, AL. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and competitive pay based on experience. The LPN will play a vital role in supporting providers through both clinical and administrative duties while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating EMR documentation
  • Assist providers with exams, treatments, and in-office procedures
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and perform wound care as directed
  • Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, pulse oximetry, and other in-office procedures
  • Conduct phlebotomy and process lab specimens
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the EMR
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Support front office operations including scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling inbound/outbound calls
  • Manage care coordination tasks such as appointment reminders, medication follow-ups, and patient outreach
  • Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and prepared
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies
  • Assist with inventory management and onboarding/training of new staff

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems and basic computer proficiency
  • CPR certification preferred
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and clinical procedures
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Must have at least one year of LPN experience in a CLINICAL setting
* Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
* Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, group homes, and similar institutions. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Licensing required.
* Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
* Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' charts.
* Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.
* Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.
* Supervise nurses' aides or assistants.
* Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other healthcare team members as necessary.
* Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
* Record food and fluid intake and output.
* Assemble and use equipment, such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, or oxygen suppliers.
* Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
* Prepare or examine food trays for conformance to prescribed diet.
* Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.
* Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
