The Tarp Operator will tarp trucks in the warehouse safely and efficiently to safely transport products from CertainTeed to our customers. Shift work will be flexible based on completion of daily loads before leaving.
Shift: 2nd shift (6:00PM-6:00AM)
Job Duties:
The Operator Technician positions are part of a High-Performance Work Team that operate the manufacturing plant 24/7. It is the goal of the plant facility that each operator is fully trained, signed off and can operate at least three skilled positions within the production department.
Safety & Compliance
Understand all Plant Safety Rules
Understand all safety procedures associated with the tarp operation
Understand and follow all SOPs related to the production and assigned area
Understand and manage all plant emergency situations and procedures
Report all safety incidents to , Shift Lead, Supervisor, Manager, and/or EHS Manager
Proper use of necessary PPE required in the plant work areas
Understand pedestrian & mobile equipment safety in the various work areas
-Other Duties
General housekeeping of the work area
Complete Employee Safety Orientation and all safety training programs
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals
Required Qualifications:
High school or equivalent or related experience
Excellent teamworking skills
Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance and work days, nights, or weekends as scheduled and required by workload.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in manufacturing setting, including various climate environments
Ability to work in production floor elements, including dust, noise & odors
Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance
Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
Physical Demands:
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hat
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
