  • The role supports multiple large wind farm construction projects (e.g., Lariat, Yellow House, Toke), each valued between ~$1.3B-$2B+.
  • The contractor will act as an Assistant Project Manager / project support role.
  • Supporting project execution during construction
  • Reviewing drawings and participating in design/construction meetings pre-build
  • Coordinating with internal teams (materials, sourcing, PMs)
  • Providing on-site oversight and helping resolve day-to-day issues
  • During construction:
    • On-site presence daily for oversight and issue resolution
    • Coordination with project team and stakeholders
  • Pre-construction:
    • Remote work reviewing drawings
    • Attending meetings (design, planning, construction prep)
  • Works closely with:
    • Project Manager (primary lead)
    • Other Assistant PMs
    • Construction teams
    • Materials/sourcing teams
  • Role involves:
    • Active construction site presence
    • Exposure to field conditions and daily construction challenges
    • Requires awareness of jobsite safety and real-time issue handling.
  • Work on large-scale, billion-dollar renewable energy projects
  • Gain experience in wind farm construction and utility-scale infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Construction experience (strong preference)
  • Engineering background (preferred but not required)
  • On-site project experience (very important)
  • Wind/turbine experience (ideal but flexible)
  • 2. What non-technical skills are necessary (i.e., such as communication, problem solving, team player)?
  • Strong communication (verbal & written)
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to operate in dynamic construction environments
  • Mid-level: Project coordinators → assistant PMs → junior PMs
  • Experience may vary: Open to less experienced candidates with relevant exposure
  • Backgrounds in: Construction & Engineering
  • Industrial projects preferred over light commercial
  • Preference for candidates from: Utility industry or Industrial construction environments or Wind or energy projects or Turbine experience
  • PMP certification (preferred, not required)
  • Having completed PMP process is valuable, even if not current
  • Engineering degree is ideal
