Job Description

Careerscape is currently assisting with the hiring of a Remote Investment Banking Analyst for a growing financial advisory and investment banking organization. This opportunity is designed for analytical and motivated professionals interested in mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, valuation, capital markets, and corporate finance.

The Investment Banking Analyst will support transaction execution, financial research, client presentations, and strategic advisory projects across a variety of industries. This position offers hands-on exposure to live deals while working closely with experienced finance professionals in a fully remote environment.

Professionals with backgrounds or interest in Investment Banking, Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory, Valuation, Private Equity, Capital Markets, or Transaction Services are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and valuation analysis
  • Prepare pitch decks, client presentations, financial reports, and transaction materials
  • Research industries, companies, market trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
  • Analyze company financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct comparable company analysis and precedent transaction research
  • Organize due diligence materials and assist with virtual data room management
  • Collaborate with senior bankers, associates, and cross-functional deal teams
  • Participate in internal meetings, client discussions, and transaction planning calls
  • Maintain organized financial data, research files, and project documentation
  • Use Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases to support transaction execution
  • Help identify operational insights and strategic recommendations for clients
  • Stay informed on economic trends, market conditions, and investment activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, banking, consulting, valuation, or transaction advisory preferred
  • Recent graduates with strong internships or finance project experience are encouraged to apply
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Interest in investment banking, financial modeling, private equity, or capital markets
  • Ability to learn financial tools, research platforms, and valuation methodologies quickly
